Useful Tips on Improving Your 'Memory Retention'
Memorizing objects Memorizing objects
So it was green on the left, red on the bottom... is this the way you are attempting to memorize?
If so, then you are only using your left-brain.
Rather, try and form 'mental pictures' in your brain in the same way you would memorize photographs. Once you have 'remembered' the object, touch the touchscreen to skip the subsequent screen. Instead, try and reproduce the object as an image in your brain. Your right-brain does a remarkable job at processing images!
Memorizing numbers Memorizing numbers
It just gets harder and harder to memorize as the number of digits increases. Try the following method in such situations.

You can convert numbers into 'sounds' or words and create a story.
If the number is '146509', then you can convert it to a story like this: 'One for the 65 year-old (1465) and nothing for the 9 year-old (09)', and visualize it as a mental picture. This method can be very effective!
